New Delhi: A new phone application has been created to help fight human trafficking.

Developed by Brushfire Mobile for International Justice Commision, this will be a free application on iPhone and smartphone to fight human trafficking.

With 13 countries in Asia , Africa and Latin America under its coverage, the application aims to rescue victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violence by spreading awareness about human trafficking among its users. Effective prevention of human trafficking requires that the society is well abreast of the issue and is empowered enough to take appropriate action against it.

It works by bringing in updates including real time from all fronts regarding successful rescue operations, arrest of suspected perpetrators, conviction of traffickers and slave owners. It also allows users to share these happenings amongst their social network, form communities with other like-minded people, make donations, know of the latest IJM events and many more.

With the ease of a handheld device people concerned about a cause like human trafficking can now connect with their work and make a much bigger impact. This app has already made its way into the Top 100 free iPhone downloads within its first week in the market.
