Bangalore: The World Wildlife Fund India (WWF) has launched ‘Cities for Forests’ campaign in Cubbon Park in Bangalore.

The campaign was organised by WWF, in association with State Horticulture Department, BCIL, Red Cross Society and Cubbon Park Mitra Sangha forms.

The campaign focuses on raising awareness about the link between forests and human well-being, with a primary focus on changing perception of youth all over the country.

Through this campaign, WWF aims to focus on the issue of urban forests, target the youth, and create an example of developing knowledge and skills with respect to urban forests.

The campaign will culminate in October. The WWF, in partnership with schools, will organize events where the findings of groups of students or individuals will be presented to key decision-makers during the culmination.
