New Delhi: To add to the shame of Indian education system, not even a single university from the country could make it to the top 200 Universities in the world.

The world’s top 200 list has been published by the Times Higher Education Magazine.

US universities grabbed seven positions in the top ten. California Institute of Technology has been ranked number one followed by Harvard University and Stanford University occupying second and third positions respectively.

Oxford University occupies fourth position, Princeton University, fifth and University of Cambridge, sixth.

Out of the top 200, 75 universities are from the US, followed by 32 from UK, 12 from Germany and Netherlands and nine from Canada.

The top 200 list also includes universities from Taiwan, Brazil, Singapore, South Africa and China.

The ratings made on universities from 15 countries have been made on the basis of teaching, research, citation, industry income and international outlook.
