New Delhi: The Schedule Castes (SCs) and Schedules Tribes (STs) form half of the total ‘poor and deprived households’ in the country, says a pilot survey on Below Poverty Line population of India.

Mumbai: The married Muslim women in the slums of Behrampada, Mumbai now have a new and revised marriage contract that gives them more security than earlier. In a movement by Bharatiya Muslim Mahila Andolan (BMMA) aimed at empowering the slum women, a new contract has been put in place to give what is due to Muslim women.

New Delhi: The Union Government is all set to introduce a pilot project to provide skills among the poor minority communities and below poverty line (BPL). The project will open a lot of job opportunities for them depending upon their interest and skills.
