Hit by a Cholera outbreak in its capital, Zimbabwe has launched a crowdfunding campaign to deal with the outbreak that has affected over 3,000 people and killed 25,

This followed a tweet by the Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube seeking help.

The African nation has declared an emergency in the capital banning public gatherings.

Consumption of contaminated water in high-density urban areas is considered the major reason for the outbreak which began on September 6.

The World Health Organisation reported that several patients were not responding to first-line antibiotics.
