Oyo state government in Nigeria has approved geological exploration of mineral resources such as Talc, in order to create a databank of the minerals that can be accessed by domestic and foreign investors.

The survey is expected to allow the government to estimate the quantity and quality of the mineral resources available for exploration in the area.

Mathew Oyedokun, Special Adviser to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Solid Minerals said that the extraction of minerals will attract investments and allow development of the area.

The explorations will be mainly carried out in the Oke-Ogun and Ibarapa zones of the state.
