While at least 452 people have been killed and 5,000 injured in the deadly 7.3 magnitude earthquake in the Iran-Iraq border area, the country called off most search operations as it said it there is no possibility to find more survivors.
The authorities are now focusing on bringing relief to thousands affected by the quake. Officials say they distributed over 22,000 tents, 52,000 blankets and tons of food and water.
Official estimates say that about 15,500 homes were destroyed and another 15,000 damaged in Kermanshah province.
President Hassan Rouhani has launched an investigation into the collapse of government housing while others withstood the powerful earthquake, said a report.
