A government primary school teacher in Ashoknagar district of Madhya Pradesh has been suspended for allegedly defecating in the open.
The district administration said that it constituted misconduct and violation of the government’s directives, according to a report.
“In accordance with the directives of the district collector, the education department has suspended the assistant teacher for open defecation with immediate effect. He was found violating the government’s ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’,” a district official said.
The official said that teachers are entrusted by the government with the task of convincing people to not to defecate in open under the cleanliness drive.
