Marvel Comics will have a new superhero Ngozi, inspired by Nigeria’s kidnapped Chibok girls who were abducted by Boko Haram.
To be authored by award winning Nigeria-American writer Nnedi Okorafor, the story titled “Blessing in Disguise” will be set in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital, where the teenage super hero character will fight evil.

Over 270 schoolgirls in Chibok in northeast Nigeria were abducted in 2014 by the militant group Boko Haram.
The militants’ reason for the abduction was that education was prohibited for women.
While some managed to escape out of the capture, about 100 were later exchanged in exchange for Boko militants. About a hundred still remain with the militants.
