India has successfully tested indigenously developed 3rd generation Anti Tank Guided Missile (ATGM), Nag, marking the completion of its development trials.

Developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation, the missile was tested against two different targets in the ranges of Rajasthan, defence ministry said in a statement.

“With these two successful flight trials, and the flight test conducted earlier in June in the peak of summer, the complete functionality of Nag ATGM along with launcher system NAMICA has been established,” the statement said.

The missile is equipped with highly advanced Imaging Infrared Radar (IRR) seeker and integrated avionics technology, which is possessed by a few countries.
